As I go through life
At such a rocket's pace
The years of seven to one
Makes it such a race

I grow very quickly
Teeming with lots of fun
Even when I tire
I'm always willing to run

From the first time you met me
You knew we'd be just right
I'm loyal by your side
I'm your shadow day and night

Then the day will come
When we will part our ways
Long will be the nights
Long will be the days

Through those lonely times
When you will cry and weep
I'm still loyal by your side
While I forever sleep
