When I was just a little soul

You always went away

I knew that you were the one

When you came home to stay

 

With our time together

We always had much fun

From training, camping, or the beach

Or simply just letting me run

 

But time has changed direction

Its time for me to rest

You fed, you cared, and you nurtured me

You really did your best

 

Although you feel I not around

And your tears fall like rain

Just take a breath of happiness

And softly speak my name

 

So while you’re out for a ride

Or simply off to sleep

Just cherish all those memories

For they are yours to keep
